Meet your instructor
I’m Ranger “Porter”, the founder of Grunt Spades and your guide through this course. Spades has been more than just a card game for me — it was a way to pass time, build bonds, and sharpen my mind during long field ops and barracks nights in the Infantry. Over the years, I’ve taken those lessons of strategy, discipline, and teamwork and built them into the Grunt Spades system you’re learning today.
I don’t just teach the rules — I teach the mindset. My goal is to show you how to approach Spades with the same grit, focus, and adaptability that made it a battlefield pastime and now a community-driven competition.
